Characterstics

This variety gave 26.30% of higher yield over check variety GC 3 whereas, it found at par with hybrid GCH 7 for seed yield under irrigated condition in middle Gujarat. Under rainfed conditions of Middle Gujarat, it also showed 35.59% higher seed yield than check variety GC 3. Days to flowering, days to maturity and number of nodes upto primary spike indicated earliness of GAC 11 over all the checks. Hence it is more suitable for intensive cultivation in irrigated areas of middle Gujarat. This variety showed resistant against wilt disease.as far as insects it is comparable with sucking pests like thrips, leaf hopper and whitefly infestation. The oil content of this variety is 48.44% which is comparable to checks.
