Characterstics

The variety Kufri Sadabahar showed superior performance for total tuber yield (312.78 q/ha) in 75 days harvesting (premature) for early bulking and manifested 13.20, 10.86 and 7.79 per cent higher over Kufri Badshah, Kufri Lauvkar and Kufri Pukhraj, respectively. In case of 90 days (mature) harvest, the variety confirms the higher tuber yield (354.54 q/ha) to the tune of 17.51, 14.27 and 10.08 per cent over the years against checks Kufri Badshah, Kufri Lauvkar and Kufri Pukhraj, respectively. This variety has lower incidence of early blight, late blight and leaf curl compared to all the checks Kufri Badshah, Kufri Lauvkar and Kufri Pukhraj. This variety has lower infestation of number of whitefly than the checks Kufri Badshah, Kufri Lauvkar and Kufri Pukhraj. This variety contains higher reducing sugar (0.12%) and flavanoid (0.040%).
