The alumni association of this college is regularly
organizing following events for the alumni.
Biannually organizes alumni convention in which the
alumni who have completed their 25 years of services
to the professions are felicitated. On the occasion
we release the booklet named career profile of these
alumni. The general body meeting is being held on
this day. The agenda items related to up liftmen of
alumni is being discussed and plan of implementation
is followed.
Biannually organizes national seminar in which the
alumni of the college take active participation to
update their technical knowledge.
The publication of news letter named ‘DSCA News
Link’ is done after every six months i.e. one from
Jan to June and another from July to December. It
covers all the news about the college students
forum, college activities, alumni news and
industrial news.
Alumni Association is also organizing ‘National
Dairy Product Judging Contest’ and ‘National Dairy
Quiz’ every year in which different dairy
industries’ personnel and different Institutes
students take part.
Alumni association has launched its website named
www.smcalumni.net which is up dated by one of
our alumni.
The alumni association has also formed Dr. J. R.
Patel Memorial Charitable Trust in the name of our
founder principal late Dr. J.R.Patel. The donation
is received from our alumni. The trust helps and
gives scholarship to economically weak students of
the college and give prizes to topper students. The
trust also organizes memorial lectures of technical
nature.
