3.       History

          This school was started with the collaboration of U.S. wheat associate, USA to increase utilization of the wheat produced by the farmers through the scientific preparation of the bakery products and hereby to be helpful to the farmer for its economic price. The school is imparting various types of short and long term vocational training and thereby create self employment as well as impart knowledge regarding baking science for the entrepreneurship development.

5.       Objectives of the centre

1.       To provide training to the young boys and girls for establishing bakery industry and thereby increase the self employment opportunity for the educationally unemployed persons.

2.       To impart knowledge regarding baking science to this new entrepreneur and to provide business opportunity.

3.       To provide technical and industrial know how to the people engaged in bakery industries for the development of business.

4.       To provide the latest information on baking science and technology to the people engaged in the bakery business through conducting special training course and other activities.

5.       To impart knowledge to prepare bakery products with the help of domestic method organizing short duration on and off campus training programmes for housewives.

6.       To disseminate the knowledge on baking science and technology through mass media.

  1. About the course

Ø       Courses (on campus)       :1. Two basic baking science certificate course per
                                       year
                                    2. One week durated four certificate course per year

Ø       Eligibility criterion           : 10th pass

Ø       Admission seats             : 25

Ø       Admission details

- Duration                    : 20 weeks

- Commencement          : Month of July and December

- Qualification               : S.S.C, Pass

For sponsor students : 9th pass + 2 years bakery    working experience

- Age                          : 15-35 years on the date of commencement of the     course.

- Deposit                     :Rs.325/- as a deposit for hostel and caution money,  which is refundable after completion of course.  Rs.13/- as a magazine, identity card and mark sheet etc.

- Stipend                    :  Rs.190/-per month except sponsored candidate

- Hostel facilities          :  Only for boys

- Uniform                     :  White cotton uniform

                                             For male student - Pant, Shirt, Appron and Cap.

                                         For female student - Sari or Full dress apron and  cap/scarf.

                - Application form fee     :  Rs. 20/- in cash or by Money Order Rs.25/-

                 - Interview                         :  On merit basis
