History
With a view to
impart training to farmers' sons in modern scientific method of
agriculture and with view to turning out practical hands, who
will go back to their land with knowledge of improved methods
and not hanker after finding clerical jobs, a modest attempt on
the lines of the folks schools of Denmark was made in 1941 by
starting the Sheth Mansukhlal Chhaganlal School of Agriculture.
The opening ceremony of the school was performed by Dr. Munshi
on 3 rd August, 1941 and the foundation stone laying ceremony of
the school building was also performed by him on the same day.
This building was constructed within a period of six months and
the opening ceremony of the school building was performed by
Sardar Patel on 8 th March, 1942.

Imparting training in
Agriculture and allied fields to the sons of

On merits base. 5 per cents waitages are
given to farmers sons and 2 per cents for
agriculture subjects in 10 th std.
