Besides the main campus, research is being carried out at 16 research stations spread over six districts of middle Gujarat mainly Ahmedabad, Anand, Dahod, Kheda , Panchmahals and Vadodara. The research is focused on major crops like Paddy, Bajra, Tobacco, Maize, Cotton, Pigeon pea, Vegetable crops, Castor, Sugarcane, Wheat, Forage crops and Horticulture crops. In addition , the research on animal science include areas like live stock management, animal breeding, Reproductive biology, animal nutrition and poultry. under Dairy technology the emphasis is given on milk and its products
