Jurisdiction is spread over the districts of Anand, Ahmedabad, Kheda, Vadodara, Panchmahal and Dahod of the Gujarat state.

University offers higher education (UG & PG) in the faculty of Agriculture, Veterinary, Dairy Science, MBA in International Agribusiness, AIT, Food Processing Technology and Agricultural Engineering & Technology .

Runs Diploma/Certificate Coursers in the field of Agriculture, Home Science, Poultry, Bakery, Mali and Polytechnic in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering.

University also impart Training to Extension Functionaries through EEI and T & V System of the development departments. BPD is the new venture of AAU for TOT and PPP for number of developed products and advanced technologies. The BPD unit is established as part of the National Agricultural Innovation Project (NAIP-I, ICAR).

To evolve the Technology, the Research is conducted  on Paddy, Wheat, Maize, Pulses, Tobacco,  Cotton, Sugarcane,  Forage crops, Vegetable crops, Medicinal & Aromatic Plants, Weed Control, Micro Nutrient, Bio Control, Post harvest Technology/Bio diesel, Animal Nutrition, Reproductive Biology and Cattle Breeding.

To Transfer the Agricultural Technologies to Farmer, University  has KVK, SSK, ATIC, TRTC,TTC, CCN , FAS, Krushi Govidya etc.
