The Reproductive Biology Research Unit is engaged in post- graduate teaching in the subjects of Reproductive Biology and Biotechnology in farm animals. The department has animal farm of Surti buffaloes, RIA laboratory, ETT laboratory, Animal Science museum and Mahila Pashupaln Talim Karyakram Hall. All the batches of internship students of Veterinary colleges of Anand and Navsari and students of polytechnic in Animal Science of Navsari College and BRS students etc., are regularly attending R.B.R.U centre. Research work in endocrinology of reproduction and research on embryo biotechnology (including IVF) in buffaloes are carried out for various projects and PG students. Work on improving fertility in farm and field animals are also  carried out. Extension activity through Mahila Pashupalan Talim Yojna   is continuing with the financial support by GCMMF, Anand. Recently department of Animal Husbandry Gujarat state has sanctioned a scheme on "Surti Buffalo Breeders' Association" of Gujarat state for conservation and development of Surti buffaloes is also in progress.
