AGRICULTURE RESEARCH STATION, NENPUR

The Nenpur farm is only 1.5 km away from Sansoli and it is between Nenpur village and Nenpur road-crossing. The Nenpur railway station is only 1.5 away from the site of the farm. The Jalaram temple is near to farm site. The farm is divided in 2 big parts each having about 15.0 ha land and other four small segments ranging from 1.0 ha to 2.2 ha. The total area of this farm is 40 ha.

MANDATE OF FARM

1. To produce the seed of improved varieties of different crops viz., paddy, wheat, pulses, oilseeds, forage crops, Bajri, castor, Tobacco and vegetables cops and distribute to the farmers on premium price.
2. To develop variety of Jatropha with better in quality and suited to the area.
3. To develop package of practices of Jatropha.
4. To increase area under Jatropha.
5. To disseminate knowledge of Jatropha crop and package of practices amongst the farmers.
6. To educate the farmers for raising the seedlings of Jatropha in nursery and it's sowing/transplanting under field conditions.
