The station falls under middle Gujarat Agro-climatic zone: III

Crop improvement :

To evaluate and develop high yielding , heat & drought tolerance varieties of short staple cotton, gram, durum wheat, mustard & safflower for the farmers of Bhal area.

Resource management:

To study out the optimum combination of gypsum & FYM in cotton crop.

To study out the rate of economic use of water in fruit crops viz .Aonla, Ber.

To study out the best method of irrigation in crops viz. cotton, castor.

   1. Introduction of safflower as a new crop which found more profitable to wheat & gram under Bhal condition.
   2. Contribution made in release of Bhima variety of Safflower
