    Feedback of Technologies:

Technical Feedback on the demonstrated technologies

    Farmers’ reactions on specific technologies

    Soybean:

    1

No shattering loss of grain is observed.

    1

High market value than maize crop.

    2

    Higher return than maize crop.

    2

Succeeding rabi crop requires less amount of fertilizer.

    3

It can withstand in adverse weather situation i.e. low and high rainfall situation.

    Gram:

    1

Less disease observed in GJG-3 variety than other variety.

    1

GJG-3 variety gives better yield than other variety under irrigated conditions.

    2

GJG-3 proved the best for the cultivation under rainfed as well as irrigated situation.

    Pigeon pea:

    1.

Wilt problem in pigeon pea occurred after high rainfall.

    2.

Pod borer pest attack was found in AGT-2.

    Maize:

    1

White seeded GM-6 variety is suitable for cultivation and food purpose.

    1

GM-6 variety is suitable for kharif as well as rabi cultivation and use for dual purpose.

    2

Less disease observed in GM-6 variety.

    3

GM-6 proved the best for the cultivation under rainfed situation.

    4

GM-6 is also gives higher yield in rabi season.

    Chilli :

    1

GVC-111 variety higher yield than local variety.

    1

Regular income generating crop and better than other crops.

    Okra:

    1

GAO-5 variety is highly resistance to YVMV.

    1

GAO-5 variety of okra gives higher price due to long fruit size than other variety.

      Pheromone trap:

    1

Timely installation of pheromone traps helps in management of Helicoverpa armigera.

    1

    Gram:

From the trapped moth, we can forecast pest attack.

    Wheel hoe :

    -

    -

    1

It is effective for interculturing and weeding.

    2

Less time consume during interculturing operation

    3

Very effective for soybean, maize and vegetables.

    4

Suitable for men, farm women and rural youth.

    5

    Reduce drudgery.

    6

It is difficult to operate in fields which have stonier.

Deworming and disinfestations of milch animals:

    1

Deworming and Disinfestations if carried out regularly will result in higher yields.

    1

    Absence of external parasites.

    2

Fertility treatment using Ovsynch protocol in repeat breeders as well as anoestrus cattle and buffaloes resulted in successful pregnancies.

    2

    Improvement in fecal consistency.

    3

Farmers who had lost all hope and were about to sell their animals due to repeat breeding and anoestrus condition are happy and thankful for ovsynch protocol.

      Research Projects:

      Extension Education:

      1.     Adoption of improved Rabi maize production technology by Rabi maize growers in Dahod district
