objectives of different Research scheme

Tribal Research cum Training Centre (B.H. 5704)

1. To impart knowledge and production skills in crop production, horticulture, farm forestry, Animal husbandry, poultry keeping, agriculture, health and audition etc to the  tribal farm women.

2.  To provide vocational training in agro-based cottage industries to tribal farm women families so as to improve their income and make them lead better quality of life.

3. To educate the tribal farm women families to use appropriate low cost and low risk technologies in the farm and homes.

4. To diversify the use of labour in lean period through subsidiary enterprises like livestock farming, poultry keeping, apiculture, mushroom cultivation, rabbit rearing, collection of minor forest products, etc.

5. To identify the social customs, norms and beliefs of the tribal which act as turner in adoption of new technologies and to influence the change in their traditional out look.

6. To conduct need based training programme for tribal farm women.

 

Strengthening Research in Maize Project (B.H. 6005)

1. Recommending farmers to grown varieties like Guj.maize-1,2,3 & 6 based on the research work done by main Maize research Station & providing farmers with free of cost  technical guidance on seeds, fertilizers and crop .protection

 

 Scheme for Research in Oil seed and Pulses crops for Tribal Area (B.H.6009)

1. Research on technical aspects for  crop improvement and crop production of oil seed & pulses crops in this area and method of value addition and introducing soybean in this area

 
Genetic enhancement and production technologies of major crops (Soybean) grown in tribal areas, Devgadh Baria” (12979-01)

1. To improve identify high yield variety of soybean for Gujarat condition

2. To identify suitable production technology for Gujarat Condition

Strengthening of Pashu Vigyan Kendra (PVK) at Limkheda (D’Baria) (B.H. 12993-03)

1. To establish a model centre for preparing packge of Dairy and animal husbandry paractices on scientific recommendations suitable to different categories of live stock farmers of the area.

2.  To organize specialize training progrms, demonstrations and to provide training facilities, multifaced informantion and communication for popularzing latest techonologies to livestock farmers.

3.  To publish animal husbandry and dairy related literture for dissemination of recommended technologies.

 

Need based Testing contingency for Soybean (B.H. 2007-1)

1.  To collect and evaluate the germplasms of soybean from various location.

2.  To develope the high yielding variety of soybean accroding to the need of the region.

3.  To standardize the agronomic packge of parctices of soybean crop.

4.  To studies on value addition on soybean.

1.  To evaluate the bio-efficacy of fungicide pre mixture, Ayaan48% WG (kresoxim methyl 40% +    Hexaconzole 8%) for bio-Efficacy (against leaf spot, Rust, Anthracnose (bud, pod blight) diseases) and      phytotoxicity on soybean for two season
