Research recommendation

1.   Improving use efficiency of inputs (water and nutrients) (G.Cot Hy-8 &BG II)

The farmers of middle Gujarat Agro-climatic zone-III(AES-II) growing cotton (BG-II) in kharif season are recommended to adopt drip irrigation at 1.0 ADFPE and fertilizer with 240 kg Nha-1 (in three equal split) to get higher yield and net returns.

2.   Response of soybean to Nitrogen, Phosphorus and sulphur fertilizers

The farmers of middle Gujarat Agroclimatic   Zone-III   (AES-II)   growing soybean (Gujarat soybean-1) in Kharif season are advise to give 45 kg N/ha, 60kg P2o5/ha and 20 kg S/ha to get higher yield and net return.

3.   Effect of integrated nutrient management of soybean

The farmers of middle Gujarat agro climatic Zone-III (AES-II)  growing soybean in kharif season are advised to adopt INM practice apply NP (15-30 kg/ha) along with seed treatment of PSB Rhizobium 5 ml/l to reduce 50% of RD (30-60 kg/ha) without affecting the seed quality and get higher yield as well as net return.

4.   Yield of soybean influenced by varying dates of Planting and cultivars

The farmers of middle Gujarat Agro climatic zone-III (AES-II) growing soybean in kharif season are advise to sown soybean crop at Onset of Monson with improve variety NRC - 37 to get higher yield and net return.

5.   Management of Root-rot disease of  soybean (Glycine max L.) through bio-agents and chemicals in field conditions

Farmers of middle Gujarat growing soybean (Cv. JS- 335) are advised for soil application of Trichodermaviride @ 2.5 kg in 500 kg FYM/ha in furrow (ICBR 1:21.19) 15 days prior to sowing for effective and economical management of root-rot disease of soybean, increase in yield and good plant stand at harvest.

6.   Response of seed rates on different soybean varieties in kharif season

The farmers of Middle Gujarat Agro Climatic Zone are recommended to growing soybean in kharif season are recommended to grow NRC-37 variety with 80 kg/ha seed rate to get higher yield and net return.

7.   Response of spacing on different soybean varieties in kharif season

The farmers of Middle Gujarat Agro Climatic Zone are recommended to growing soybean in kharif season are recommended to grow NRC-37 variety at the distance of 45 cm to get higher yield and net return

8.   Effect of fertigation on soybean productivity

Fertigation or irrigation at all the three critical stages i.e. flowering, pod initiation and seed filling was found to be beneficial than flat sowing, therefore it is recommended for Eastern and Central zone of India.

9.   Application of Foliar nutrition on soybean productivity

The foliar application of RDF + DAP 2 % or RDF + 19:19:19 (NPK) 2 % or RDF + MOP 0.5 % or RDF + Zn @ 0.5 % at pod initiation stage found beneficial,  therefore it is recommended for Central zone of India.
