Objectives:

• 1. To establish a model centre for preparing package of Dairy and Animal husbandry practices on scientific recommendations suitable to different categories of live stock farmers of the area.
  2. To organize specialize training programs, demonstrations and to provide training facilities, multi faced information and communication for popularizing latest technologies to livestock farmers.
  3. To organize extension activities like farmer’s day, clean milk competition and scientist livestock farmer interactions and group discussion etc.
  4. To impart knowledge and skill in animal husbandry, dairying, health and nutrition etc. to the live stock farmers for enhancing milk productivity and milk quality.
  5. To establish the Live stock Farmers Society (LFS) in the villages and to train the members of LFS in leadership communication & co-operative for TOT.
  6. To know/collect constraints faced by the livestock farmers/feed back in adopting the scientific recommendations/modern animal husbandry practices and to suggest remedial/alternative measures to solve them.
  7.   To conserve the bio-diversity through conservation & improvement of the indigenous Livestock.
  8. To augment feeds & fodder resources and capacity for manufacturing of balanced cattle feed, by -pass protein feed and area specific mineral mixture.
  9. To publish animal husbandry and dairy related literature for dissemination of recommended technologies.

હેતુઓ:

• આદિવાસી વિસ્તારના પશુપાલકો, મહિલાઓ તેમજ યુવાનોને પશુપાલન, મરઘાં ઉછેર વગેરેનું વિસ્તારને અનુરૂપ હુન્નર શીખવાડવા મોડેલ સેન્ટર બનાવવું.
• પશુપાલકો, મહિલાઓ અને યુવાનો માટે ટૂંકા તેમજ લાંબા ગાળાના પશુપાલનની તજજ્ઞતાઓ વિશે  તાલીમ કાર્યક્રમો યોજવા જેથી પશુઓની ઉત્પાદકતા અને તેમની સ્વરોજગારી વધારી શકાય.
• પશુપાલનની નવીનત્તમ તજજ્ઞતાઓ અંગેના પ્રતિભાવો તેમજ તેની ઉત્પાદકતાની જાણ માટે પ્રથમ હરોળના નિદર્શનો યોજવા
• પશુપાલકોને પશુઓના સ્વાસ્થ અને ગુણવત્તા સભર ઉત્પાદકતા વિશે જાગૃતી લાવવા માટે કેટલકેમ્પ, સ્વચ્છ દુધ હરીફાઈ જેવા કાર્યક્રમોનું આયોજન કરવું.
• પશુપાલકોને નવીનત્તમ તજજ્ઞતાઓના અમલીકરણમાં પડતી મુશ્કેલીઓ જાણી સ્થાનિક પરિસ્થિતીને અનુરૂપ ટકાઉ પશુપાલન પદ્ધતીઓ વિકસાવવા માટે પશુપાલન તજજ્ઞતાઓની પશુપાલકોના પશુઓ પર અખતરા યોજી તેની ચકાસણી કરવી (ઓન ફાર્મ ટેસ્ટીંગ)
• નફાકારક પશુ ઉત્પાદન માટે સ્થાનિક લભ્ય જંગલ અને ખેત પેદાશોના ઘટકોનો ઉપયોગ કરી સમતોલ આહાર તૈયાર કરવા માટેની સમજ આપવી.
• પશુપાલકોની તજજ્ઞતાના પ્રચાર –પ્રસાર માટે સાહિત્યનું પ્રકાશન કરવું
