Achievements

  • H. F. Project has produced 457 male and 433 female calves.
  • The Project has produced 32.88 lakhs kg of milk and generated an income Rs. 252.30 lakhs.
  • The Project has supplied 288 bulls for crossbreeding programme in different parts of the country.
  • H. F. Project has supplied 61 heifers and 63 cows to dairy farmers for starting dairy farms.
  • Project has provided 10 cows, 14 male and 6 female calves to Veterinary College for teaching and research.

  • To supply pure bred Holstein bulls for crossbreeding and female animals for pure breeding programme.
  • To impart training for managing Holstein Animals to farmers.

H. F. Project, Anand Agricultural University, Anand was started on January, 1987 and the first batch of animals were brought from erstwhile West Germany on 25th January, 1989
