THE INSTITUTION

School of Baking established in 1963 with the financial help of U. S. Wheat Associates at erstwhile Institute of Agriculture at Anand. The institute merged with Gujarat Agricultural University from its instigation in 1971. Since the 2004 it has been administered by Anand Agricultural University located at "Milk Capital" of India i.e. Anand in the State of Gujarat. It is on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad main rail line and the Express highway and National Highway No. 8.  Ahmedabad (70 km) has International while Vadodara (40 km) has domestic airport. University situated at one end of the city just about 5 km away from rail way / bus station. The School of Baking, a part of polytechnic in Food Science and Home Economics, is just near College of Food Processing Technology and Bio-Energy within the campus. The training is managed by the Director of Extension Education.
