Student Representative Council activities of College of FPTBE:2020-21


Orientation Programme

The college admitted its twelfth batch of undergraduate students and sixteenth batch of post graduate students for academic session of 2020-21. To acquaint new students regarding various facets of the college programme, facilities available at different laboratories and pilot plant units, a one-day virtual orientation programme was organized on Dec 16, 2020. The introductory session was attended by all the faculty members and students whereby introduction of all the teachers and students was done along with a presentation by the Principal of the college on food processing technology in general.

The presentations by Heads of Department were done highlighting activities of each department of the college. The students were also appraised about the college/hostel’s rules and regulations and SRC/NSS activities. Functioning of library was discussed along with rules and regulations for use of e-library and cybrary along with various laboratories of the college, for the first year B.Tech (FPT) students. 

Sadbhavna Day:

On the occasion of Anniversary of the Birthday of Shri Rajiv Gandhi, Former Prime Minister of India, in order to maintain mutual emotional unity and harmony among all citizens without any discrimination Sadhbhavna celebration was held in the college premises with a pledge of goodwill on Aug 20, 2020. Principal and all the staff members and of College participated by maintaining social distance and other protocols.



Fresher’s Day Celebration:

Like every year, Fresher’s Day was celebrated online in our college on December 20, 2020, where Newly admitted First year students gave introduction of themselves to the seniors of the college.

Sports Events:

No sports event held during this academic year due to current covid-19 situation.

Literary Events:

Outside the University:

The students of the college 1) Ms. Yeshi Yangchen participated in Food Photography event on 16th October, 2020 held by Rai University, Ahmedabad and won the first prize.

Cultural Events:

World Food Day, 2020

In current pandemic Covid-19 situation World Food Day Celebration was virtually held by College of Food Processing Technology & Bio Energy, Anand Agricultural University, Anand on October 16, 2020 with the blessing and well wishes of Honourable Vice Chancellor, AAU, Dr. R. V. Vyas. As per theme of World Food Day - “Grow, Nourish, Sustain. Together. Our actions are our future”, In-house virtual events, like poster presentation and photography competition were organized.

This Event was organized under the guidance of Dr. R. F. Sutar, Dean & Principal. This whole event was conducted by chairman SRC Er. M. A. Makwana and Core committee members Dr. K. V. Vala, Dr. R. B. Modi,Dr. G. P. Tagalpallewar, Er. Piyush Moradiya, Mr. Harsh Zalavadiya, Mr. Ronak Chhatvani and Ms. Neha Kharkwal.

Total 39 students participated on Zoom Platform. Three prizes were awarded in each events and certificates were given to the participants.
